eShakti Paperbag Pants

I have wanted a pair of paperbag pants for a long time. I think I just never found the right pair with the right fit. When eShakti contacted me for a review, I zeroed in on this jade green pair. Paperbag pants have a ruffled waist line, but the ones I like most have a matching ribbon tie.

This particular pair is no longer available, but you can shop all eShakti pants in sizes 0-36W or opt for custom fit tailoring. I decided to try custom fit. eShakti asks for a number of measurements to ensure the pants are made to fit your body. I thought the pants fit especially well around the hips, which can be tricky as ready-to-wear often makes my butt look larger than I’d like. The material was loose and comfortable, but tapered in such a way to make my legs appear slimmer. The only change I would make would be to shorten the pants a bit as paperbag trousers look best cropped. Right now this pair is too short for heels, but too long for flats. If you have any special style requests, like cropping the pants, eShakti will satisfy your requests! Overall, I think the pants are versatile to style. They would look lovely for a casual workday or even a date night. I have a feeling these will become my go-to pants when I want to dress down, but still feel chic.

They say you should style this type of trouser with a fitted top. I have shown how it looks with the top tucked in and untucked. You can decide for yourself which look you prefer. I also wanted to showcase the off-the-shoulder top in its entirety as this is the first time I have tried this blouse trend. And I have to say I love it. This Tie-Strap Bardot Top from Topshop comes in multiple colors and patterns making it a great summer staple. I styled the look with my favorite summer bag from Botkier – the Starburst Studded Crossbody, which is on sale at Nordstrom Rack. And these ultra long tassel earrings are by one of my favorite Indian jewelry designers, Astha Jagwani. Shop the whole look (or similar pieces) in the blog shop!
