A Touch of Gold

Sometimes all you need is a touch of gold. Gold is the metal of choice for weddings, parties and elegant affairs across South Asia. This particular necklace by Adonia from Vintage Desi is striking enough for a magnificent soiree, yet simple enough for a casual day out. I chose to style it with western wear. I love the intricate weave on this necklace and its clean and classic shape.

I’m obsessed with the striking gold color on this necklace and pleasantly surprised by its lightweight feel. It’s gorgeous on its own, but I couldn’t resist pairing it with a colorful shawl I purchased from a Kashmiri vendor in Abu Dhabi. The vendor was kind enough to serve us homemade Kashmiri chai, and let me say, the creamy pink drink was absolutely divine. This shawl is perfect for a cream on cream look.
