Digital prints are super popular right now. Mix them with a bit of zardozi (metallic embroidery) and you’ve got yourself a beautiful canvas for a stunning lehenga. You may already know I’m a fan of Jaipur designer Ritu Jain Singh whose work I recently shared here. Not only does she design gorgeous fusion tunics and dresses (shop here), she also designs bridal and festive wear with an eye for minimalist embroidery. This floral creation by Ritu Jain Singh also comes in turquoise as well as cream.

What I love is that the print does most of the talking, while gold thread work highlights the flowers here and there. Plus, the dress was lightweight and easy to carry. It was the perfect look to wear as a wedding guest at a mendhi this summer. I am always looking for independent South Asian designers. Who are some your favorites?
