Why Wearing the Color Yellow Makes You Happy

I’m wearing Big Bird Yellow and totally owning it, don’t you think? Actually, I love wearing bright yellow. It’s one of those shades that makes you stand out. And in fashion, you never want to blend in. When I see that something comes in yellow, that’s the shade I opt for. The color yellow has been proven to raise blood pressure and pulse, which are signs that indicate joy. It’s an instant pick me up, a representation of sunshine and happiness. And those are just some of the reasons why wearing the color yellow makes you happy.

The Color Yellow in a Crisis

Did you know emergency workers like firemen and crisis workers often wear the color yellow? That’s because it signals hopefulness and optimism. Now I’m not saying dress like you’re expecting a crisis. But if you’re wearing yellow, you’re already ahead of the curve. Chances are a stressful situation at work will feel a tad less jarring when you’re as bright as a Sesame Street character. (Perhaps Big Bird’s yellow color is the reason why he’s one of the most beloved children’s characters.) But wear with caution, as too much yellow may be tiresome for the eyes.
