Yesterday I shared the story of Summer Souk, an online portal for South Asian style founded by New Zealand entrepreneur Farah Ali. One of the exciting services provided by Farah is complimentary styling. She definitely has an eye for fashion. I love these two looks Farah put together exclusively for Bangles & Bungalows. I could see myself wearing both looks confidently.
Look 1: Everyday Casual
The first look is a casual quirky style you could wear any day of the week. I love the rich mix of colors and the addition of silver jewelry in traditional Indian designs. The whole look has a Boho Indian vibe.
Everyday Casual Look: 1 Urvashi Joneja Check Crop / 2 Amrapali Silver Plated Dotted Bangle / 3 VC Couture Grey Leather Kohlapuri Sandals / 4 Amrapali Devi Ear Studs & Coin Knuckle Ring / 5 AM:PM Blue Pleated Flared Pants
Look 2: Bridal Style
For this second look, Farah took the traditional white bridal gown and gave it a South Asian twist. The gown jacket features metallic zardozi embroidery. Gold jewelry is a staple for South Asian weddings and Farah chose a couple pieces from one of her favorite jewelry designers, Amrapali. She paired the white embroidered gown jacket with white palazzos, a popular pant style in South Asia, often paired with a long tunic.
Bridal Look: 1 Prathyusha Garimella White Floor Length Jacket / 2 Amrapali Crystal Interlinked Necklace & Crystal Krishna Earrings / 3 Edwardian Leaf Tiara / 4 Ralph & Russo White Palazzo Pants / 5 Muse by Badgley Mischka Metallic D’Orsay Shoes (Mendhi image by Christine Long, CC License 2.0)

I love the oversized gingham co-ord outfit — it’s got a great twist to it with the drape on the side 🙂
Also, the bridal look is giving me some major desi-wear inspiration. I can’t wait to pick up similar outfits during my trip back to india!
