Holiday Party Outfit Inspiration: Monochrome Sparkle

The holidays are meant for sparkle and shine! It’s the only time of year that you can get away with looking like a sequin factory exploded all over you. Actually, that’s not really the look I was going for — I promise it’s a bit more tasteful than that. I spotted this silver sequin H&M dress online and saw major holiday party potential. While it is pricey for H&M at $129 (you’re probably paying per sequin haha), the mod cut of the dress offers a chic silhouette, the double jersey layer will keep you warm and the saturation of embroidered sequins will ensure people will know you’re there to P-A-R-T-Y. Or Y-M-C-A (whatever floats your boat).Holiday Party Style

To maintain focus on the silver sequins, I thought I would try a bit of monochrome styling since so many of you seem to love that look these days. This light grey shaggy faux jacket will keep you cozy and warm all night long. Just pop it off when you’re ready to reveal the disco ball underneath. These heels have just a touch of sparkle to balance out the sequined dress on top (and a subtle hint to disco balls!) Pops of pink make a great pairing with silver. Don’t you just love this hot pink suede lunch bag clutch? Plus it’s 35% off! The crystal ear cuff will reflect the light from your dress and the pink in your clutch beautifully. Top off your look with a sculptural cuff and a splash of jasmine scented perfume. You’ll be good to party till the cows come home. Or until midnight if you’re old and weary like me.
