Happy Monday everyone! I hope you are enjoying the day wherever you are. Today’s look features a navy sheath dress and tall tan boots. I love how slimming this dress is. It’s also a perfect piece for these wavering temperatures. As the dress was a bit long for my petite frame, I paired it with tall boots to create a more balanced look. I found this navy sheath dress on sale at White House Black Market for $40. They are having a massive clearance right now. Snap up their great deals here!
Shooting these photos turned out to be a lot riskier than I thought. On the way home from this photo shoot, I was run off the highway by a crazy driver. I totaled my car and was lucky to not hit anyone in the process. The meridian bore the brunt of the impact and I walked away with only a few cuts and bruises. If you are ever in a situation where someone is trying to dangerously overtake you on the highway, try to slow down and get out of the way. Although shaken up, I was overwhelmed by the support of some good samaritans. While the other driver sped away, four kind and thoughtful people stopped to make sure I was okay and waited with me until the police came. With all the craziness in the world, it reconfirms my faith in humanity. Like Mr. Rodgers says in times of crisis, “Look for the helpers.”
Having gone through such a crazy day, it makes most of life’s crap seem insignificant. I’m grateful for my health and the renewed perspective on life. Stay safe everyone and have a wonderful week!
