If you know me, you know I have the world’s biggest sweet tooth. When I treat myself, it usually involves food, preferably something sweet and chocolatey. While searching for my next sugary indulgence, I stumbled upon Pint Size Bakery, the cutest cafe in South City St. Louis.
With a focus on high quality local and seasonal ingredients, chefs Christy and Nancy churn out new recipes regularly. That means new treats to dazzle the senses almost every time you visit! Plus everything at the shop is peanut-free.
Inside Pint Size Bakery
I knew I had to visit this St. Louis bakery when I saw its colorful wallpaper on Instagram. When a restaurant spends a little extra love on its ambience, there are often other thoughtful things to look forward to. Plus it was rated one of the Best Restaurants in St. Louis this year so you know it’s good.
Considering it’s a cafe with free wi-fi, you’ll want to eat in, enjoy your time, and savor every bite. And possibly make multiple trips to the counter to catch the latest sweet out of the oven.
Pint Size Bakery Menu
According to Pint Size Bakery, you can’t find fresher baked goods anywhere else in St. Louis. Made from scratch daily, treats come out warm from the oven from morning until close in the afternoon. Using wholesome ingredients, their menu offers popular staples like Oatmeal Creme Pies, Sammies, and Brookies (brownie + cookie), as well as rotating items that change with the selection of seasonal ingredients.
You’ll drool over the Pint Size Bakery menu, including savory breakfast items, Kaldi’s coffee, as well as pastries and sweets. What I absolutely love about this bakery is that everything is baked fresh and it shows in each bite. It tastes like something your grandmother would make. Each treat I tried was to die for — smooth and buttery, chewy yet crisp, dense and moist.
My favorite item on the menu the day I visited was the Raspberry Fudgie (pictured below), a seasonal item. Two chocolate cookies sandwich raspberry cream with a rich fudge center. I’m still dreaming about this delightful dessert. I heard amazing things about the Dreamsicle sammie too, which is on my list to try.
Not in South City? If you’ve got a hankering for sweets, you can also try one of my other favorite bakeries in Chesterfield or the Bourbon Pecan Pie at Grace in Tower Grove. The marshmallow fluff on top is bonkers.
