If you’re looking for the perfect summer lunch spot, complete with a gorgeous outdoor patio for dining alfresco, you’ll love Guerrilla Street Food in The Grove. Dig into some of the best Filipino food in Saint Louis full of fresh and hearty ingredients, lots of flavor, and tons of variety.
I was invited to try Guerrilla Street Food in The Grove for lunch. I’ve never had Filipino food so I didn’t quite know what to expect. We tasted five vibrant hued dishes including the Hummus, Guerrilla Street Corn, Spicy Chicken Dip, Chicken Adobo, and Shrimp Salad and washed it all down with a slushy from Tropical Liqueurs.
I loved everything I tried. The hummus came with foam textured chips that were a fun twist on the normal dipping chip. The street corn was full of flavor with a zesty spice rub and plenty of cheese. You can’t go wrong with the chicken dip made with rich cream cheese. The shrimp salad was a nice light dish to balance out all the heavier items. My favorite item may have been the Chicken Adobo because I love a good chicken and rice dish. The best part was the prices, which started at $3 for the street corn.

best filipino food in Saint Louis
Guerrilla Street Food recently opened its newest location in The Grove. Surprisingly, the location was light on foot traffic. They don’t have a sign outside yet so visitors may not know where to look. Hopefully soon it will become a local favorite for its great value. It’s hard to find such fresh and unique cuisine at such great prices.
Guerrilla Street Food shares its space with Tropical Liqueurs, which offers frozen adult beverages. The space has a loft feel with island colors and prints. The indoor space would be great for corporate parties or happy hour. In fact the weekends are prime time for the space, particularly for entertaining guests on its outdoor patio.
I’m definitely returning to hang out on their patio for what’s left of the summer. One of my favorite activities is dining alfresco. With the vibrant color scheme, shady umbrellas, and privacy I can definitely imagine chilling outdoors on this beautiful patio.

It all looks delicious! The pictures really capture the atmosphere and project the beauty of the food, and normally, when a cook makes the effort to make food look this good, is because the taste is worth it.
