I came across an invitation in my inbox from Bazzzar to “explore the best of India’s fashion.” Always in search of new sources for South Asian style, I clicked through. The slick web design excited me as did the prospect of a tailor made outfit delivered in 7 days. Most Indian clothing sites deliver in 3 to 4 weeks so I was skeptical about the short turnaround time; but I decided to give Bazzzar a shot. Learn more about my Bazzzar experience and why you should consider this fast fashion and decor website. And return tomorrow for an exclusive interview with Bazzzar on the ins and outs of delivering Indian clothing around the world!
Process: Bazzzar offers a large variety of colorful outfits. Multiple photo angles made it simple to analyze which color, style and embellishment options were right for me. Since I’m looking for more daytime casual outfits, I bought a simple Ivory suit with pretty metallic embroidery. When it came to fit, I chose comfort over perfect because my weight usually fluctuates by 5 pounds. Taking about 15 measurements was the most intense part of the process. But the interactive measurement guide made it go smoothly.
Delivery/Service: As soon as I ordered, I received a confirmation. A shipment notification and tracking number were sent on days 4 and 5, respectively. My order arrived on day 7, well within the guaranteed timeline. The package came in a stylish black box. Inside my outfit was neatly folded and pressed with a cute personalized note thanking me for my purchase. The box also contained an extensive 29-point quality checklist signed by a Bazzzar founder.
I will note that my outfit had a strong smell of cologne embedded in it, which took me several days to air out. When I notified Bazzzar about the issue, they told me this was the first complaint of its kind, but still checked their processes to locate any problems. The team assured me that they would do everything they could to neutralize any odors in the future. The way they handled this situation revealed their high level of self-awareness and commitment to go above and beyond for their customers.
Style: The suit was simple and elegant. From the metallic threadwork and lace to the cut and color, everything was on trend and of the season.
Quality: Bazzzar used high quality materials like georgette for the kurta and chiffon for the dupatta. When given a pants option, I chose palazzo over churidar since it looked good on the model. However, the pants I received were not wide-leg palazzo, but a short straight leg pant. I am not sure if this is due to my misunderstanding of the “palazzo flair” measurement or a mistake on their part. Also, some of the sequins were either missing or misplaced along the floral pattern (see photo close up). This was noticeable enough to make me question quality consistency of finer details.
Fit: With the suit slightly snug in a couple of places, I am happy I chose comfort over perfect fit. Overall, it felt tailor-made for me and was quite comfortable. There was a little puckering where the arms met the chest. And the pants were a bit short; but short pants do look great with heels. The length of the kurta was just right. When clothes fit your body well, it makes the outfit irresistible, right?
Price: I purchased the suit on sale for about $87 and used a promotion for free shipping, saving me about $10. $87 for a stylish salwar suit is pretty unbeatable. For the price, quality and style, I would definitely shop here again.
The best part is that if you’re not satisfied, Bazzzar has a “No Questions Asked Return” policy. If you don’t like it, you can easily return it. And if your order doesn’t arrive within 7 days, your next order is free. With my order, UPS was delayed because of bad weather, but my outfit still arrived on time. Finally, Bazzzar price matches exact items, which pretty much guarantees a good deal.
